An immersive and intimate painting, created to tell the story of Angela and Daniele’s wedding for the magic it truly was: an outpouring of friendship and warmth, with a core of deep, exclusive intensity. The idea of a live painting for their wedding came from Sabrina and Iacopo, the couple’s friends, who wished to honour the day with a unique gift and an unexpected surprise.

After receiving a beautiful reference photograph of Angela and Daniele among the vineyards, I worked “behind the scenes,” in a secluded wing of the venue where the couple would not pass. This allowed the final surprise to unfold, when the painting was revealed to them and to the other guests.

For them, I wanted to create something different from my usual work: autumnal tones and the atmosphere of the vineyard became the setting for an intimate, close-up portrait, rendered in warm, enveloping hues — the perfect language to tell a single love story.
