A surprise for their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary: this was the painting Ben asked me to create for his wife, Cassie. Ben wanted to gift the painting to Cassie during their trip to Italy, without her knowing a thing, so we organized a little “show” to make the moment truly unforgettable.

Before the trip, Ben shared some couple photos with me, asking me to create a portrait of the two of them in front of Milan Cathedral. I completed the painting, and on the day of their arrival in the city, I positioned myself in Piazza Duomo with the artwork, like any street artist… so that Ben could “casually” lead Cassie there and reveal the painting made just for her. Needless to say, the surprise was a complete success, and after a brief moment of astonishment, Cassie was absolutely thrilled with her husband’s gift.
