When Roland, a close friend of the groom, contacted us about a gift, he knew exactly what he wanted: to give the couple not only a wedding painting capturing their special day but also an experience of shared fun through live sketching during the welcome dinner at Castello di Bibbione (Florence).

And so, we made it happen! On the first evening, Erica and I sketched portraits for all the guests, creating an opportunity for laughter and getting to know one another. On the wedding day itself, I painted a live portrait of the couple; he is Dutch and she is of Albanian origin—a beautiful, deeply connected pair. For them, I chose a classic, timeless composition, set against the golden light of the Chianti region.
