I am very fond of the story behind this painting. The painting was in fact one of the first I made: to practice wedding painting, I had chosen some particularly evocative photos from the web to bring onto the canvas, including that of Isabelle and Alessandro. Imagine my surprise when the photographer who took the shot, Marlies Hartmann, shared my painting with the newlyweds! They were very excited by this unexpected surprise, which also arrived on their first wedding anniversary, to the point that they decided to stop by my atelier during a trip to Europe… We met in person, and it was a wonderful encounter!
