Not a couple portrait, but a family portrait: Laura and Wijnand, from Holland, together with their beautiful daughters Beau and Olivia and immersed in the olive trees of the Maremma countryside. This huge painting was a gift from Marijke, Laura’s affectionate sister, and I admit that it was a very special painting, a perfect memory of an equally special day!

After a sudden downpour, in fact, in the enchanting resort La Pescaia (in the Tuscan Maremma) the sun shone again, creating unforgettable plays of light in the fresh and clear air. In the painting I tried to capture not only the beauty of the family close together on a day of joy, but also the vibrant and intense atmosphere of the moment.
